Heavens Meet the Earth

Submitted by William

As i sit alone in the empty tower along the beach,
to listen to earth’s liquid blue roll underneath me.

With the closet star settling down for the evening,
meeting the imaginary line known as the horizon.

A Beautiful Mind

“Growing older is mandatory, growing up is optional. »

This is a just a very striking quote I’ve read as I was trying peruse on my emails a few weeks back.

Part of my routine is to check on my mails regularly if not everyday. I have a very active account ever since my friends here and abroad are also into what you call the “net fever”. I couldn’t care less about these forwarded messages in my account. Most, if not all, have really touched my heart not because of the drama that they have, but because those messages have deeper meaning than regular messages, and very inspiring words at that. I couldn’t help but share the beautiful messages that these stories have. You may care to reflect on these!

IF ONLY GUYS KNEW…

  1. That sometimes it doesn’t really matter how a guy looks, it’s the vibe that matters.
  2. That most of the time, girls can’t remember how a guy really looks like, just maybe his voice…or his eyes…or his smile.
  3. That if you can make a girl laugh, you are “IN”. Girls would rather spend their time laughing and talking to an ugly guy than bear with a non-interesting, pea-brained, humorless Baldwin.
  4. That guys and girls can be just FRIENDS and not necessarily MORE
than that. Sometimes guys are perceived only as friends and unwelcome
    lovers. Read more…

Why Pluto should not be a planet

Since we all were in our elementary days, our science teacher taught us that there are nine planets in our solar system. There are the terestrial planets like Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars. Then there are the gas giant planets like Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. And the oddest one is Pluto, which is half the size of Mercury, has a very long ellipse orbit around the sun that overlaps the orbital path of Neptune, and deviates most prominently from the ecliptic plane. 2ND President’s Cup 2006 all set

By: Toto Turno

The DMC Dart Club gears up for the coming 2nd President’s Cup Dart Tournament on October of this year. The said event serves as one of the highlights of the birthday celebration of Atty. Alberto P. Concha, Sr. (DMCCFI School President) on October 21, 2006.

Members of the club, who are composed mostly of DMC faculty, staff and students, are very excited for the coming tournament. Such tournament would also serve as a break for the very hectic first semester of the school.

The format of the game will be KOC (killers, 501 & Choice), which means that the 1st game in every set is Killers. The 2nd game is 501 and the deciding game if necessary is through a coin-toss and the winner will chose what game to be played (Killers or 501). The first thrower of the 1st game in every set will be decided again by a coin-toss. The loser will be the 1st thrower of the 2nd game. And if the deciding game is necessary, another coin-toss will determine the first thrower.

Mr. Nick Martinez, the school’s Sports Coordinator wants this event to be more successful than the 1st President’s Cup. Defending champion of the tournament was Toto Turno (singles), Alfred Juson and Toto Turno & (doubles).
