An Unforgettable Night with Kuh Ledesma

Just after the inauguration and thanksgiving dinner for the completion of the DMC’s auditorium and Nursing Building, the stunning diva Kuh Ledesma graced the people of Dipolog with a memorable gospel night.

I thought beforehand was that it will just be a regular concert with Kuh. I was completely surprised when I went to the Covered Court and discovered that the event was a form of worship. I never scrupled into reluctance because I wanted to grab the chance to see Ms. Ledesma in person and to be able to hear her sing for just one teeny bit of moment. Glad to have an excuse to come home late, I was totally agreeable that the school has formally requested its students earlier to attend the show.

The worshippers and fans of the famous singer came just before the show started, and the gym was swarmed with a concourse of people from all walks of life.

The program of worship commenced with a series of songs initiated by the program organizers and companions of Ms. Ledesma. A group of small children also performed a superb interpretative dance. Eventually, the floor was given to Kuh, and then she gave a wonderful heart-wrenching testimony about God and the essence of worship.

Then she gave a powerful rendition of a Christian song. It was what most people have been waiting for.

The preaching of the renowned Pastor Bennie was surprisingly unlike most preachers who rant and rave about salvation. It was smooth, eloquent and quite enlightening, conveying the gospel that the free gift of salvation is offered without partiality in believing and accepting Him as our personal savior.

All in all, it was a wonderful evening. It was a blessing in its own right, especially for some who believe that the key to heaven is still here on earth. The program had ended with an equally touching a closing prayer, and everybody went home triumphant and without regret. It was a kind of spiritually charging that we need, made even more prevailing by the commanding voice and beauty of Ms. Kuh Ledesma.
