DMC College Foundation, through the Office of the Community Extension Services, the Office responsible in making the school programs and services more accessible to less privileged groups will spearhead an information dissemination campaign on Influenza A (H1N1) in Dipolog City and nearby municipality specifically to public elementary and high schools. As the leading health care institution in the province, it is just but right and timely to share information to the public about the deadly influenza and prevent the spreading of the virus. Dipolog is still fortunate to be free of A (H1N1) case. Yet. As the saying goes it’s better to be safe than be sorry later. As history record proves, seasonal influenza kills not just thousands but millions worldwide especially in subtropical and tropical places like the Philippines.
The campaign will focus on sharing measures to prevent contamination, the signs and symptoms to watch for, as well as when to wear masks and the proper hand washing as advised by the World Health Organization. Starting June 9, with the banner A (H1N1) FLU. SPREAD THE NEWS. NOT THE VIRUS the campaign will be launched in DMC then subsequently to the different elementary and high schools with consent of concern offices.
