401 GRADUATES HONORED IN

 

Hon. Letty Kuan of BON Delivers Astounding Speech

One hundred eighteen gentlemen and four hundred eight ladies successfully marched their way through graduation in DMCCFI’s 28th Commencement Exercises on March 15,2005 at the Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral, Dipolog City.

The Graduation ceremony was preceded with a Holy Eucharistic Celebration participated by all 401 candidates and their families, along with DMCCFI’s entire faculty, staff and administration. The Imposition of Hoods was followed immediately by the presentation of the candidates, which was conducted by the various deans and department heads namely: Dr. Vicente Dalman, Dean of the Graduate School; Henry P. Ogoc, MN, Dean of the College of Nursing; Dr. Chonilo Ruiz, Dean of the College of Medical Technology; Atty. Albert T. Concha, Dean of the College of Commerce; Atty. Reynaldo P. Concha, OIC-Dean of the College of Criminology and Head of the Political Science Department; Engr. Carlo Ferandos, Dean of the College of Computer Studies; Maria Teresa Iniego, MN, Principal of the Midwifery Deaprtment; Racquel Mariano, RN, Coordinator of the Caregiver Course; and Rosario Angel Gayapa, Coordinator of the High School Department.

Atty. Alberto P. Concha, President and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dipolog Medical Center Incorporated, confirmed and accepted the candidates, after which they were then declared graduates of their respective courses.

Hon. Letty Kwan, Guest of Honor of the Graduation Ceremony and former member of the Philippine Board of Nursing, spoke on the theme “Promoting Global Standards for Educational Excellence” and delivered an astonishing message, stating that the demand for Nurses abroad would still last even thirty five years from this year (please see related article).

The Distribution of Diplomas and Certificates succeeded the subsequent Presentation of Plaque to the Guest Speaker, conducted by the President and the various Deans and Department heads of the College.

The Graduates of different Colleges of DMCCFI are as follows: Master of Public Administration – 12; BS in Nursing (Regular Program) – 115; BS in Nursing (Night Program) – 53; BS Medical Technology – 2; BS Secondary Education – 2; BS Commerce major in Management/Accounting – 5; AB political Science – 1; BS Computer Science – 2; BS Criminology – 15; Two-year Midwifery Course – 12; Associate in Health and Science Education – 170; six-month Caregiver Course – 16; and Science High School – 3.
