I witnessed it all!

I witnessed crime committed over and over again. She was so helpless, and people took advantage of her vulnerability. Everyday, in the past 10 years, I saw different people using her. I saw them getting what they want. I heard her shriek, scream, and fight back. But they cannot hear her, and even if they did, they would not have listened. It was only I and my friends who could hear her plead and beg for mercy. And we felt her pain. We suffered for her. She was abused and there was nothing we could do! Even if we were just right beside her. We felt guilty. If only we could be heard…if only we could do something…But what could we have done? After all we were just trees. Read more…

Comfort and encouragement are not easy to accept when a loved one dies. How often have we attended a funeral and listened to a sermon extolling the virtues of those going to heaven? In most cases the family doesn’t seem to be comforted by these remarks. Their anguish and sorrow are evident.
