BSN IV bags Championship of 34th Founding Anniv. Sports Fest

Level IV students of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing triumphed as the overall champion of the 34th Founding Anniversary Sports Festival on August 11-16, 2008 at the College Grounds.

DMC Lifesavers advances to PCCL Regionals

After topping the provincial elimination of the Philippine Collegiate Champions League 2008 held in Dipolog City, the DMC Lifesavers moves up to the PCCL Regional Eliminations in Zamboanga City on October 4-6, 2008. The top two teams of the regional elimination will advance to the Zonal Elimination at Cagayan de Oro City, from which the top two contenders will emerge and will be given a shot to the P1M FilOil Flying V “Sweet 16” Final Challenge competitions in Manila. I witnessed it all!

I witnessed crime committed over and over again. She was so helpless, and people took advantage of her vulnerability. Everyday, in the past 10 years, I saw different people using her. I saw them getting what they want. I heard her shriek, scream, and fight back. But they cannot hear her, and even if they did, they would not have listened. It was only I and my friends who could hear her plead and beg for mercy. And we felt her pain. We suffered for her. She was abused and there was nothing we could do! Even if we were just right beside her. We felt guilty. If only we could be heard…if only we could do something…But what could we have done? After all we were just trees. Read more…

Will God Forget the Dead?

Comfort and encouragement are not easy to accept when a loved one dies. How often have we attended a funeral and listened to a sermon extolling the virtues of those going to heaven? In most cases the family doesn’t seem to be comforted by these remarks. Their anguish and sorrow are evident. Choruses of grief, weeping and crying are expressed over the departure of a beloved parent, brother, sister, husband, wife, child, relative or dear friend. Read more…

Regional PRISAA Games 2008:DMC Kickers bags Gold

The DMC-College Foundation’s Football varsity team concluded the Regional PRISAA Games 2008 on February 7-9, 2008 at Pagadian City with a bang, beating Ateneo de Zamboanga University 4-0 in their final match.
