311 STUDENTS HONORED IN DMC’S 15TH CAP & BADGE CEREMONY

 

Through the relentless downpour of unseasonable rain on the roofs of Saint Joseph–the Spouse of Mary Church at Galas, Dipolog City, one hundred-fifteen gentlemen and a hundred ninety six ladies marched proudly down the aisle with their beaming parents to ceremoniously accept the cap and badge to be bequeathed by their College of Nursing.   Read more…

DMC’S ROTC UNIT SHINES IN RAATI

The most awaited pioneering participation of DMC-College Foundation Reserve Officer Training Corps (DMCCFI ROTC) Unit to the Regional Annual Admin Tactical Inspection (RAATI) finally took place on February 4, 2006, in which the school garnering a total score of 87.253 and currently ranks 5th place throughout the region.   Read more…

IT CENTER JOINS JEDI PROGRAM OF SUN MICROSYSTEMS

The DMCCFI College of Computer Studies (CCS), with full support from the Administration, signed the Memorandum of Agreement with the Java Education & Development Initiative (JEDI) Program of the Sun Microsystems Philippines, Inc., on November 10, 2005 at the DMCCFI Information Technology Center.

DMC’S NEW NURSES TAKE OATH

Forty seven graduates of DMCCFI avowed to uphold the Nursing profession under the authority of Hon. Porferio B. Mah Dipolog City’s OIC Presiding Judge, in an oath-taking ceremony and testimonial dinner held at the Top Plaza Hotel on January 14, 2006. The new professionals took and passed the Philippine Nurses licensure examination last December 3 & 4, 2005.

The school’s president and chairman of the Board Atty. Alberto P. Concha deliverd an inspirational message to the newly licensed nurses, which followed a warm welcome address by the Dean of the College of Nursing of the school, Mr. Henry P. Ogoc, MN.

E. Y. TAN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM LAUNCHED

Gearing up for the projected intensifying demand for quality professionals within the nation for the next decade, the DMC-College Foundation will launch its Eufrosina Tan Yap Memorial Scholarship Program for the School Year 2006-2007.

With its aim to offer quality education to the academic populace of the province and to give financial assistance to the less privileged but deserving members of the community, the scholarship program is granted to students who will take up any of the Allied Courses offered by the DMCCFI.

STAFF BUILDERS LLC Starts Petition of Five Nurses as of January ‘06

With extraordinary alacrity, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs Atty. Albert T. Concha Jr. formed and launched STAFF BUILDERS, LLC, a sister company of DMC-College Foundation that petitions nurses and physical therapists to work in the United States under an Immigrant Status and which, as of January this year, has begun the petition of five highly qualified nurses for the state of Illinois.   Read more…

ROTC Unit holds Activation Ceremony

At last! The unit color of DMC-College Foundation Reserve Officers Training Corps was finally unfurled by Atty. Alberto P. Concha, the College President, and Col. Gominto B. Pirino INF (GSC) PA, Group Commander of 9RCDG, Army Reserve Command, and also the guest of honor and speaker in the momentous Activation Ceremony conducted on the DMCCFI Parade Ground on August 23, 2005.

If man’s experience had been limited to the mastery of the forces of nature, without a corresponding elevation of his spiritual life through the things art alone can do, what is life in this world?

Arts and sciences blend together in our discovery of their role in life. Life can be lived in a way one desires it to be, but life can be more enjoyed if we explain life’s aspects in a scientific way, and in doing so adapt some art in it. Life will be a drab affair indeed, if we cannot understand it through science, and if there were no art to give expression, to the deep reaches of the emotions and the imagination of man. Without science we will find no truth of expression; without art, sounds will have no meaning and characters no symbol.

DMC SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL CELEBRATES FEAST OF ST. JOHN BAPTIST DE LA SALLE

 

Upholding its status of being the first school in the province under a La Salle Consultancy Agreement, the DMC Science High School celebrated the St. John Baptist De La Salle Day, together with all La Sallian Schools Nationwide, on January 26, 2006 at the DMC Open Grounds, Sta. Filomena, Dipolog City.

DMC Attends PNA Annual National Convention 2005

Five delegates of DMC College Foundation College of Nursing were sent to a seminar in a triple-event celebration, the 83rd Foundation Anniversary, 48th Nurses Week Celebration and the Annual National Convention 2005, at Astoria Regency Scout Limbaga, Pasonanca, Zamboanga City on October 26-28, 2006. The nurses were: Henry P. Ogoc, MN (Dean of Nursing); Ma. Grace F. Gurdiel, MN (President of Philippine Nurses Association Zamboanga del Norte Chapter); Virginia M. Gemina, MN; (Assistant Dean), Maria Teresa Marites Iniego, MAN (Principal, School of Midwifery); and Maricor R. Lacaya, RN (Coordinator BSN IV). Read more…
