Another Filipino hailed as World Pool Champion

Filipino athletes are known to be aesthetically fit and competent when it comes to sports. Let us offer our proud salutations to our fellow “kababayans” who has brought honor to our country and has inspired all the other athletes to continue their bequest. One of these Filipino Sports champions is Ronato “Ronnie” Alcano a.k.a. “The Volcano” who brought a beaming victory in Philippine Sports History. Alcano, a dynamic pool player who rules in the World Pool, became the newest icon in Billiard. His first recognition in the Philippines set off in his outstanding performance at the 2000 Rising Stars Tournament. In year 2002, Ronnie started to take his spotlight and started competing in major events in the United States as other great players like Efren Reyes and Francisco Bustamante who made such conquests in these tournaments. Alcano won five tournaments in the Joss Tour and was honored as Rookie of the Year 2002.
